At the 8th and last Local Assembly of the MILAGRO project in Serbia, the results of the project
were presented by the Local Coordinator Dr Vasilije Milnović at the Red Cross of Serbia, to the
employees and volunteers of the Red Cross. The Serbian Red Cross was an extremely active
local partner of the MILAGRO project, so the project management considered it natural that the
final Local Assembly of the project would be held on the premises of this organization. The
Local Assembly was attended by 15 Red Cross employees and volunteers.
The interesting thing about this Local Assembly was that some of those present had previous
experience with migrants, both in the field and administratively, when it comes to some previous
projects related to this topic. On this occasion, the results of the MILAGRO project so far, its
most interesting parts, but also details of the Observatory website, were presented. All those
present were very interested in learning more about the project, especially about the data that is
still needed for the Observatory by the end of the project, and they were invited by the lecturer to
contribute to gathering the remaining data needed. One of the attendees participated as a student
volunteer in data collection and underwent training as a trainer within the Online Coaching
Center. In this regard, he presented his experiences from the project and training.
At the end of the event, all attendees were invited to the Final Local Event on April 28th at the
University Library. Links to the project website, Observatory, and social media channels
featuring project updates were also shared.
