The MILAGRO Final Local Event was organized within the Assembly of the Serbian Academic
Library Association. The local project management considered it an excellent context for the
Final Local Event, and the entire first part of this Assembly was actually dedicated to the
MILAGRO project.
At the beginning of the event, the attendees were welcomed by the members of the University
Library Board of Directors, as the Director was away on business.
After that, in a presentation that lasted 40 minutes, the Local Project Coordinator, Vasilije
Milnović, PhD, presented in detail all the phases of the implementation of this project in Serbia,
as well as the results of the project. He highlighted the implementation challenges specific to
Serbia which, unlike Italy or the Netherlands, serves as a transit country for migration. However,
with the help of local partners, this challenge was successfully overcome. The presentation
generated significant audience interest, prompting a series of questions about the project’s
outcomes, its sustainability, and resources for learning more. Afterwards, the audience was
addressed – on behalf of the local partners in the project – by representatives of the Office of the
Commissioner for the Protection of Equality of the Republic of Serbia. They also pointed out the
importance of this project and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in it.
At the very end of the part dedicated to the MILAGRO project, the Local Coordinator invited all
attendees to learn about all project phases and activities on the project website and social
networks. After that, a cocktail reception followed for all attendees.
