This workshop was implemented by the Red Cross of Serbia, a local partner in the project. It is
called: „Fight against human trafficking: should I or shouldn’t I try my luck“. The lecturers were
the volunteers from the Red Cross of Serbia, who have a lot of experience working on this topic.
The workshop was conducted in the premises of the Red Cross of the Palilula Municipality, a
unit of the Red Cross specifically focused on working with migrants. The workshop was also
assisted by local partners of the NGO Atina, who brought migrants from the “Krnjača” migrant
reception center. At the beginning of the workshop, Red Cross volunteers, together with the
participants, went through examples of human trafficking that they had encountered in practice
and introduced everyone present to the rules and adequate behavior in risky situations related to
this topic. In the second part of the workshop, participants – both migrants and volunteers –
formed groups and worked on specific examples, emphasizing the importance of the correct
reaction in a risky situation. The participants showed great interest in this topic and actively
participated in the workshops. At the end, each group presented its conclusions based on specific
examples. After the workshop, which lasted 2 hours, there were snacks for all participants and a
joint photo session. A relaxed and cordial atmosphere prevailed throughout the workshop, which
was confirmed by the evaluation conducted among the participants, where the workshop was
given the highest marks.
