On May 8, 2025, the historic Sala di Palazzo Patrizi in Siena hosted “Voices from Other
Worlds”, the closing event of the European project MILAGRO – Migrants and Local
Communities Actively Growing Together for Inclusive Societies. The initiative, promoted
by the Nuova Associazione Culturale Ulisse in collaboration with the Arciconfraternita
della Misericordia and under the patronage of the Municipality of Siena, was warmly
received by both local residents and members of the migrant community.
The event brought together young migrants living in the Siena area, who shared powerful
personal stories of integration, identity, and cultural exchange. Their voices offered a
valuable insight into the challenges and triumphs of building a new life in Italy,
highlighting the importance of dialogue, understanding, and community support.
Attendees appreciated an open and respectful atmosphere, which turned the evening into
a meaningful time of connection and mutual enrichment. Local citizens and newcomers
were on the same wavelength, showing how diversity can strengthen the social fabric of a
city.
