On May 15, 2026, the One-off event – the Final Event of the MILAGRO project was held in
Brussels. Representatives of all project partners from Siena, Utrecht and Belgrade were present
at the event. Local partners from Utrecht were also present, as well as representatives of various
NGOs engaged with this topic through diverse approaches. Although modest in size, the
audience was carefully curated, consisting of experts in the field, representatives of migrants
themselves, various NGOs, as well as representatives from Brussels, including the Project
Officer in charge of this project on behalf of the EU.
The entire event took place in an extremely cordial and open atmosphere, with a depth of
exchange, encompassing thoughts, emotions, and insights related to the MILAGRO project and
its theme, that went well beyond the usual situation when it comes to EU-funded projects.
At the beginning, during the lecture part of the event, the audience was addressed by the
representatives of the three project partners, who went through the details of the project. They
first presented the general goal of the project, its context and differences when it comes to the
participating countries. The greatest emphasis was placed on the project Deliverables, and each
Deliverable was explained in detail. As a result, the presentation lasted over two hours, after
which the audience engaged actively, posing a wide range of questions.
After the presentation of the project, participants and local partners from Utrecht explained the
Online Coaching Course in more detail. This was followed by remarks from representatives of
the Afghan diaspora, who highlighted the inspiring nature of a project such as MILAGRO.
After the lecture part, a light lunch was served, and then the workshop part of the event began. In
accordance with the number of people present, their interest in the project, and in coordination
with the Project Officer in charge, it was decided to merge all planned workshops into one large
workshop, with the active participation of all those present. That was the moment when sharing
experiences from the MILAGRO project began to inspire all those present and when the sharing
of thoughts, emotions and experiences became very intense. The workshop consequently
extended well beyond two hours, driven by the eagerness of all attendees to contribute.
Finally, attention was paid to the sustainability and possible continuation of the MILAGRO
project activities, after the official end of the project. The final conclusion of all participants is
that the MILAGRO project, given its extensive range of deliverables and results, has the capacity
to expand in the fields of education, science, culture, and digital transformation, serving as a
foundation for numerous future initiatives.
The partnership established through the project has become a lasting value and a solid foundation
for future project endeavors. The various sustainability aspects of this project were highlighted,
and clear guidelines were outlined that could lead in different directions, towards future projects
in the areas of: intercultural competences, language learning, digital transformation, research and
scientific data, and humanitarian work. Therefore, depending on the topic of future projects,
various EU programs were also mentioned, that may be relevant to them. All representatives of

various associations and NGOs present emphasized their willingness and interest in participating
in future project endeavors.
At the very end, a gala dinner was organized, bringing together project participants and friends
of the project in a more informal setting.
