Milagro project team from Utrecht together with Welkom in Utrecht organized a special storytelling
session in August at refugee center Pahud in Utrecht. It was led by Misko Stanisic from Terraforming
NGO, one of the MILAGRO-project partners. Misko began the activity by sharing his own story of his
escape, and participants were given ample opportunity to share and ask whatever they wanted.
While a wealth of entertaining anecdotes were shared, funny stories were interspersed with sad
memories. This way, the attentive listeners were transported into a variety of emotions and heard
aspects that visibly created solidarity.
This storytelling activity, which inspired the participants and fostered understanding, was one they will
never forget.
The activity was followed by a shared lunch.
